Kyra: “You look lifeless. Wake up, we have so much to do today before we leave. It’s a little chilly out there, but I have those new, cute, and expensive boots you got me. Isn’t that cause for celebration and smiles galore?”
Kyra: “So, my wrestling debut is coming up soon, and I’m wondering if I should do anything special to my hair. Maybe some highlights, maybe add a few more inches? Extensions could look good, yeah?”
Ryder: “I don’t know babe, I think you look perfect. Extensions may not be bad, but don’t feel like you need to change for those people. You’re already perfect.
"
Kyra: “I know I’m perfect, no need to state the obvious.”
Ryder: “Hey, I have a question.”
Kyra: “What’s going on? Do I have to sit down for this one?”
Ryder: “No babe, I’m just a bit, I don’t know, I’m uneasy about friday night. Jay had no right coming at you like that, and it makes me really uncomfortable.”
Kyra: “That’s just Jay, I’ve dealt with him before like that. He’s harmless and he would never do anything to upset me, not purposely. What makes you so uncomfortable about it?”
Ryder: “I trust you babe, don’t ever think I don’t, it’s just, he’s your ex, you’ve been close with him lately, until this weekend you’ve seen him more than me, and that’s part of why I booked this vacation. I love you, more than anything, and I just wanted time just us with no distractions. Then, night one, your ex starts blowing up your phone and here I am just watching as he attacks you for trying to help, and get upset. It pretty much put a damper on a day of our 3 day weekend, and I just wonder why you bother. It’s not like you owe him anything.”
Kyra: “We are training together, so I need to make sure he’s good. We are partnered up in training class, not that you would know considering you didn’t make one trip to the facility all week. Bottom line is, there’s nothing to worry about. He’s my ex for a reason, but I did spend five years with him, and knew him even more than that. I don’t see what the problem is with us being friendly if you trust me.”
Kyra: “Shhhhh.”
Kyra: “So, this trip was only because you wanted alone time with me, because I’ve been TRAINING with my ex? This was never about me is what you’re basically saying, it’s about the threat of losing me? Typical.”
Ryder: “It was all about you, I did this because I wanted to spend time with YOU. No distractions of training, or contracts or wrestling, just Ryder and Kyra, having a great weekend together. Cuddling, watching the ocean, walking on the beach. Just us. I’m not threatened by Jay. I know you wouldn’t leave me like that. I have no issues with you being friendly, I’m just concerned that his problems are going to get projected onto you. I don’t want you losing focus, getting down because he has a problem.”
Ryder: “Kyra, I love you more than I’ve loved anything. I trust you with my heart. I don’t give that to anyone. You have earned the right to hold it. I’m not trying to put you in any sort of ultimatum. I don’t want you to think that. I just want to make sure he’s not going to hurt you for some reason. Like you said, you’ve known him a long time, you guys were intimate together, you were, I would assume, in love. I have a feeling he’s not really over that. I don’t want him projecting on you and putting your career, your life, us, any of it at risk."
Kyra: “I can’t blame him if he’s not over me, I’m Miss Dallas 2013, but, I’m over him like that. But since you decided to get serious, let me flip the script and ask you something. You told me earlier this week that your sponsorships are down, and you already know how my family views you. What do you plan on doing with your life? I’ve always supported you skating and chasing your dreams, but you’re 27 now, not 17.”
Kyra: “What I’m saying is, what do I explain to my dad the next time he asks what you’re doing? He’s not a fool, he keeps tabs on you because of me. He knows you aren’t bringing in the money you were when we first met six months ago. I’m doing this amazing thing wrestling, about to be the next big star, and you, at least to some people are just there.”
Ryder: “Just there? Kyra in the last 3 months I’ve dropped 3 videos that were all top 5 sellers in skate video sales. I’ve made 400k in just those 3 months. I have another DKNY shoot in a month. I’m not ‘Just There.’ I’ve been around and making my own fortune. The issue isn’t me, its that my sponsors aren’t doing crap to back me. So yeah my money has floundered because I’m contractually obligated to people who would rather market the next board of some 12 year old kid who can’t kick flip high enough to grind a handrail over a guy who’s sold more boards for them than any other rider. When that contract is up, you’re right, I’m out of it. I still have DKNY, and I wasn’t going to tell you, because I didn’t want to rain on your moment, but Al Envy reached out to me. He saw me going back and forth with that Shawn Cage guy, offering a fight, and he asked if I was serious about possibly fighting. I don’t know. It would be something new.”
Kyra: “Wait, so you want to wrestle? Should I hold my laughter in or what? I have hardly any training, you have no training at all. You would come in, and just wrestle some early matches to get the crowd warmed up for me or something?”
Ryder: “You don’t think I can do it? I’ve been fighting my whole life. I may not be a technical genius, but I can fight. I’m in good shape, I’m young, I’m healthy, why couldn’t I do this?”
Kyra: “I would just hate to see you...how do I say this? Lost in the shuffle. I mean we both know you wouldn’t want to interfere with my plans of becoming the top star there, and you deserve better than playing second fiddle. Isn’t that something we can both agree on?”
Ryder: “I wouldn’t play second fiddle, and I wouldn’t interfere with your rise, we would rise together. You and I would be the top two stars. 1A and 1B. Whoever holds the title the other is there supporting. I’ve busted my butt to be noticed in the skating world. Nobody knew who I was, I was just a poor kid in Dallas, and I worked my tail off and got noticed and have 15 of my 20 videos debut and rank top 5 or higher in sales. I have a deal with DKNY. I know how to market myself and I know how to make myself known. Plus, we could be together more, maybe I could train with you to get better. I don’t know?”
Kyra: “It would be nice to have you around at work…”
Kyra: “I wouldn’t tell you what you can or can’t do with your life, especially when it comes to trying to better yourself to fit in better with my family. It won’t be easy. If you decide this is something you want to do, I only ask two things. One, that you give it your all because I don’t want people seeing you give up and associating me with a quitter and two, and this is most important.”
Kyra: “We don’t argue or fight over a championship or anything. I don’t want to have to wrestle you, you’re my boyfriend. The man I love, and the man who should be beside me when I win the World Title there, supporting, and maybe even making sure I keep that title...no matter what it takes.”
Ryder: “Kyra, those two requests do kind of contradict themselves. You’re asking me to give it my all, but essentially phone it in if it meant you and I having to fight. I don’t want to step in the ring with you. I love you and I don’t want either of us going at it like that because I couldn’t hurt you. At the same time if I just roll over to let you win a title, or to avoid facing you, I’m looking like a quitter. I will be by your side the whole way and when you win that title I will have your back, but I can’t be expected not to give it my all to at least be in the title picture. Otherwise I’m doing a disservice to me, to you, to the fans. I can’t do that.”
Kyra: “What are some of my least favorite words?”
Ryder: “No, can’t, won’t, don’t...did I miss any?”
Kyra: “You CAN do it, you’re choosing not to. If it comes down to me and you, which it probably will because can you honestly see anyone else being on my-our level?”
Kyra: “Everyone wants to invade MY world. First my ex boyfriend wants to wrestle in HCS, and now you do too. It’s fine, sign the contract, show my dad you’re actually trying to do something with yourself, I can’t get mad at that. We’ll just have to take whatever happens at work as it comes, and deal with it accordingly.”
Ryder: “Honey, you know I will never do anything to try to outshine you, and I will never do anything to make you look bad. IF we wind up facing each other for the title...scratch that...WHEN we wind up having to face each other for the title, I won’t do anything to jeopardize us. If that means taking the loss, throwing the fight, whatever, I’ll do it. As long as you promise that you’re not going to be mad that I rolled over for you, and looked like a quitter. I’ll do whatever needs to be done for you if we face off, but I don’t want the backlash to be that you and your family call me a quitter because of it.”
Kyra: “I can agree to that. I’m sure my family would be happy to hear that you’re ready to better yourself and still keeping my best interests at heart.”
Kyra: “Have I thanked you for this amazing trip? The photoshoot, the hotel room, the expensive dinners, the shopping spree’s...you really know how to treat me.”
Ryder: “This weekend has been thanks enough. You deserve to be spoiled, and I am lucky to have you by my side. I may not have trust funds for days like you and Jay, but I make enough to treat you the way you deserve, and joining HCS would only further that. I am here for you through it all. I will not let you down. As long as you’re by my side, there’s nothing we can’t do, and I assure you, we will be the stars.”
Ryder: “What’s up, babe?”
Kyra: “Before we continue celebrating...can you call the desk and tell them to extend our checkout time? If they refuse, just tell them to book us for another overnight and we’ll leave when we’re good and ready.”

Kyra Johnson and her boyfriend Ryder have been celebrating her signing to HCS all weekend, a trip he surprised her with. A few hours before checkout and back to Dallas, Kyra walks out of the bathroom, moments after getting back from completing a photoshoot that Ryder had also set up for her, in which he and her both posted pictures on social media. ‘Miss Dallas’ makes her way over to the bed, where her boyfriend is sitting on the edge of it, skateboard in his hands, twirling it around.
Miss Dallas stands off the bed, walking over to look at herself in a mirror. Before he can answer her last question, she continues talking.
Ryder, still out of it looks up at her, still, after six months together, in awe of her beauty.
"
Ryder looks back down at the floor.
She keeps staring in the mirror, playing with her hair as Ryder speaks up again.
Kyra turns her head, giving him partial attention.
Ryder stands up, walking, and wrapping his arms around Kyra, resting his head on her shoulder, and kissing her neck.
Kyra turns around, looking at Ryder, his arms still around her waist.
Her eyes lower quizzically, as she tries reading the expression, something she’s been pretty good at for the last six months, but today she’s stumped.
Ryder kisses her head, pulling her in close.
Ryder kisses her head, pulling her in close.
Ryder closes his eyes, awaiting the backlash, knowing sometimes Kyra can take things the wrong way.
He doesn’t have to wait long, as she sighs and pulls away from him. She walks over to the window of their third story room, and glares out before turning around, flipping her hair as she does.

She shuffles back over towards him and as he begins talking, she puts her manicured index finger on his lips.
She removes her finger.
Ryder looks at her, frustrated, knowing he shouldn’t have said anything. He knows with her sometimes honesty isn’t the best policy.
Ryder walks over to Kyra and takes her hands in his.
Kyra looks down at their hands before glancing back up, with an unimpressed pout over her face.
Knowing that may have came off harsh, her tone softens.
Ryder pulls his hands away, turning away from Kyra towards the window, taking a deep breath before turning back around.
Kyra places her hands on her hips, again looking a bit confused.
Ryder looks at Kyra offended.
Noticing him tense up, Kyra this time is the one taking his hand. She guides him to the edge of the bed, sitting down with him.
Ryder looks at Kyra.
Kyra: “It would be nice to have you around at work…”
She pauses, contemplating everything he just said.
She pulls his hand closer to her, squeezing it.
Kyra: “We don’t argue or fight over a championship or anything. I don’t want to have to wrestle you, you’re my boyfriend. The man I love, and the man who should be beside me when I win the World Title there, supporting, and maybe even making sure I keep that title...no matter what it takes.”
Ryder looks at Kyra, unsure what to say, before finally opening his mouth.
Ryder: “Kyra, those two requests do kind of contradict themselves. You’re asking me to give it my all, but essentially phone it in if it meant you and I having to fight. Kyra: “You CAN do it, you’re choosing not to. If it comes down to me and you, which it probably will because can you honestly see anyone else being on my-our level?”
Miss Dallas rises from the bed, pacing around the room, keeping her eyes on Ryder.
Kyra: “Everyone wants to invade MY world. First my ex boyfriend wants to wrestle in HCS, and now you do too. Ryder walks over to Kyra, holding her tight and planting a kiss on her lips.

Kyra: “I can agree to that. I’m sure my family would be happy to hear that you’re ready to better yourself and still keeping my best interests at heart.”
Hearing what she wanted, her mood has completely changed. The look she gives him now isn’t one of confusion, concern, or anger, it’s one of admiration.
Kyra: “Have I thanked you for this amazing trip? The photoshoot, the hotel room, the expensive dinners, the shopping spree’s...you really know how to treat me.”
Ryder picks Kyra up and carries her to the bed where he lays her down, crawling in next to her.
Ryder starts kissing Kyra passionately, until she taps his back. He pulls his head back.
Ryder: “What’s up, babe?”
Kyra: “Before we continue celebrating...can you call the desk and tell them to extend our checkout time? If they refuse, just tell them to book us for another overnight and we’ll leave when we’re good and ready.”
The spoiled Dallas Diva smirks with her eyes and points to the phone.
Ryder makes the call, and then turns out the lights as you hear playful giggling and moaning.
